Decided to have a rest from paneling so thought I would start on the front suspension, hit my first snag, the bushes which Tiger supplied, when fitted were approx 1mm to big, the flange on the bush didn’t sit flat, hmm should I cut them, a quick phone call to tiger to confirm that it was ok to cut, talked to Paul and he said it was ok, so out with a sharp Stanley and I cut the 1mm away, they then fitted perfect. Fitted passenger side top and bottom wishbone, then assembled the spring and damper and fitted that. Found it easier to drill the 3 holes for lower wishbone ball joint with the wishbone attached to the car, all bolts only pinched tight, will tighten once the weight of the car is on its wheels.
Moved onto the steering rack, found the rubbers and mounting brackets, checked fit, then clamped in place for drilling. Marked out holes and then put in vice to drill out. The clamps are just pieces of metal bent into shape, so once drilled and deburred, cleaned them up and sprayed black.
