Front brakes and brake pipes / splitter

Wednesday 15th June
Put master cylinder on temporary to see where to fit the brake lines, fitted and P clipped the brake line to rear, put the P clips approx every 150mm, needs to within 300mm for SVA but wanted to be sure, as there are plenty of P clips supplied with the kit. Run the rear pipe down the drivers side tunnel, on top of the lower chassis rail so it out of the way of everything. Fitted the splitter on drivers side diagonal strengthing bar, and then run the correct pipes to the right and left rear wheel, with appropriate amount of P clips. Also fitted the Diff to ensure everything was out of the way.

Then moved onto the front discs and calipers. On the kit I bought it comes with the upgraded vented discs and four pot light alloy racing calipers. I had to use 3 washers between the caliper and the hub to ensure the caliper was running in the centre of the disc (checked with tiger the following the morning to ensure this was correct, and it was).
Fitted the steering rack and the track rod ends and the modified steering column supplied by tiger. Then put in the steering column from the sierra to ensure all worked ok, turned the wheels no problem, but doesn’t seem to self centre when you let go, this may just be the newness of it but will check it later on.
